陶芸家の大上裕樹氏にオーダーした、五条ゲストハウス・オリジナルの鎬象嵌(しのぎぞうがん)マグカップです。

カフェではコーヒー用のカップとして使っています。たっぷりコーヒーを入れられるよう、すこし大きめのサイズで作ってもらいました。普段遣いにも便利な大きさで、180mlくらいの飲み物を入れられます。表面はざらざらとした質感で、その佇まいはコーヒーの魅力を引き立ててくれます。

【器の特徴】
この器は、丹波焼の伝統技法に独自の表現を加えた「鎬象嵌(しのぎぞうがん)」という技法を用いて作られています。鎬象嵌とは、素地の一部を縦に削り取り、再び素地を埋め込むことで幾何学模様を創り出す技法で、通常の何倍もの時間と工程を経て生み出されています。土の温かみとスタイリッシュさが共存した作品です。

内側の色が、白と黒の2種類あります。
手作りのため、１つ１つに少しずつ違いがあります。
別売りのソーサーと組み合わせて、カップ＆ソーサーとしての使い方もおすすめです。

[“SHINOGI-ZOGAN” cup]
Custom made cup by potter Yuki Ogami using the “SHINOGI-ZOGAN” technique.

We use this as a coffee cup at Gojo Cafe. We have asked to make it a slightly big size so we can serve plenty of coffee to our customers. A fantabulous size for daily use which is enough size to carry 180ml. The rough surface makes the coffee look even tastier.


[Product Description]
“SHINOGI-ZOGAN”technique used in this plate is based on the traditional TANBAYAKI technique with a bit of originality added. It is a ceramic inlay technique where the surface of the pottery is carved and then clay of other colors is inlaid to make a design. This technique requires a lot of process and time. Earthy classy creation.
